Bug Description

I use Ubuntu 8.10 and with it my sound works. When I run Ubuntu 10.04 beta 2 CD, my sound doesn't work, I go to volume options and the device seems to work, with the correctly volume and with "mute" unchecked, but with no sound.

My lscpi:

This error is only when I run the live CD, when install, the sound works.

This release of Ubuntu is no longer receiving maintenance updates. If this is still an issue on a maintained version of Ubuntu please let us know.
