Speakers does not get muted when headphones are plugged in on HP dv-6

Bug Description

Using a HP dv6-2008eo Sound comes from both speakers and headphones unless manually set connection to Analog Output in sound settings. Have to change back to analog speakers to get volume back again on the speakers.

This behavior is arguably intentional. However, please verify by installing linux-alsa-driver-modules-$(uname -r) from ppa:ubuntu-audio-dev.

Did you reboot after installing the package? Your alsa-driver version still refers to the old one.

Will post it as soon as I have access to that computer. In the meantime I ran into the same problem on another laptop (Asus K50AB) This computer also uses the snd-hda-intel driver, but has slightly different hardware: Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc SBx00 Azalia (Intel HDA).
Should I file a new report for that computer?

Ok, it's fixed now. The installation must have been aborted or something without me noticing the last time.
