i'm unable to use the softwares which needs the mic.please help me.

The package which Daniel referred to in comment #2 can be found at https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-audio-dev/+archive/ppa
There is a link on that page which says "(Read about installing)" - if you click that it will bring up a box explaining how to use it.
