Bug Description

Tagline says it all. I know nothing about sound drivers. When I plug in external speakers or headphones they work fine, but the Netbook's built-in speakers aren't getting anything. They work fine through WinXP.

I got the following when I tried to apt-get install that package:

Aha! Success!

For my fellow noobs, here's what I just did:

sudo apt-get remove linux-backports-modules-alsa-2.6.31-19-generic

And then:

sudo apt-get install linux-alsa-driver-modules-2.6.31-19-generic

Then I rebooted, just for the heck of it, and now my built-in speakers
are working just fine. And now I can catch up on Family Guy heheh
