Bug Description

im having a problem with the alsa package because i cant listen the sound in all of my six audio devices. From two of them i cant hear anything, i have tried a lot of things ,recompilating alsa with my sound card(nda-intel) options .Also i have followed the wiki pages that talk about this problem but nothing is working ,only four of them ,other two still not working.
Hope to hear news soon.Tnx in advance.

Note: the original reporter indicated the bug was in package 'alsa'; however, that package was not published in Ubuntu.

to my knowledge dapper does not use sound.
but can you please try something for me?
i would like you to double click the volume control icon in your taskbar and open up the volume propertys...can you see anything in there that says surround sound?
maybe there are property controls in the menus that your not aware of that may fix this problem?
please let me know ^_^
