Bug Description

10-16-2008 Xubuntu 8.04 desktop 32 & 64 bit Hal Lamborn <email address hidden> I get occational sound, that is
if its there when I boot up its O.K. and seems to stay but it comes and goes with each boot. I've been trying commands
like the following but don't know enough about sound to figure out the problem. I noticed 2 other bugs about ice1712 in your bug list. I'm a newbie
aplay -l
lspci -v
sudo modprobe snd-ice1712
sudo nano /etc/modules
alsamixer
sudo alsactl store 1
I will attach 2 files

11-16-2008 This bug is still open - I have since installed ubuntu and kubuntu 8.04 and 8.10 32 and 64 bit desktop without any sound problems on the same PC.
I have also installed both 64 and 32 bit xubuntu desktop 8.04 and 8.10 but still encounter sound some of the
time, that is if I boot its either there or not and not there for most boots. I also that I have sound
for ubuntu and kubuntu when running the demo but not for xubuntu.

Thanks for reporting this bug and any supporting documentation. Since this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work, I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here.

Keeping this in Xubuntu-meta since sound works in Ubuntu and Kubuntu.
