Internal Microphone does not work. Using Volume Control, if I unmute Mux, Mux1, Capture, Capture1, it immediately mutes itself again. I am willing to provide any details/help. Please contact me.
Thanks,
Anju

Same hardware on Dell XPS M1530 with installed Ubuntu 8.10 (released version) updated from Ubuntu 8.04 LTS.
The microphone works but at a very low level even when the Capture volume is at max, thus recording is basically not available. No mic boost option appears on the Volume Control as well. It did work perfectly though on 8.04 LTS.
If anyone could provide some info or a fix it would be great because programs such as Skype cannot be used when mic operates at such a low level
Thanks
