sound stopped after upgraded to lunar lobster

Bug Description
when alsamixer is started in terminal, the "default" driver seems to be "Pipewire" whereas F6 allows to see the HAD Intel PCH.
However there is no maneuver that will switch to the correct driver as a consequence, pavucontrol shows "no output device"... while in configurations the only device is the "dummy" one.
All recent posts in the fora about this similar problem have been tried but with no avail.
