The volume bars in sound settings react to what sound is played correctly but I can't hear any sounds

Since last week's kernel updates, I've been facing the same issue on my Dell G3 3590 with the RealTek ALC3254 audio controller. Ubuntu 22.04

@trurl42, does the sound used to work before (older kernel than 6.5)?
From the kernel log, the line out has no trivial problem. I need to know is this a regression or something else. Thanks
