volume+ volume- key repeat don't work

What expected:
Hold down the volume up or down button on a keyboard. The sound level gradually increases to a maximum or decreases to a minimum.

What happened instead:
The sound level decreases or increases by one step and does not change anymore. Repeat keystroke works in terminal or browser.
