Installed a new X-Fi sound card, but no audio is being heard during playback on Ubuntu 18.04.

Internal audio is disabled in the BIOS.

Made sure everything is on/not muted and still no sound. Also tried under a live session of Ubuntu 16.04 which detected the card, but still came up with no sound.
