The fix for this issue will be in the 4.12 kernel. Ubuntu 17.10 "Artful Aardvark" is scheduled for release on 19th October 2017 and will be based on a 4.12 or later kernel. If you want to try the 4.12 kernel on your Ubuntu 17.04 "Zesty Zapus" installation, when the 4.12 kernel is released you can get it from the mainline kernel PPA page at http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ and instructions on how to install and uninstall it are available at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/MainlineBuilds
