Bug Description

When (re)booting with headphones in, audio won't play. Once the headphones are unplugged, it will start to come through the speakers and will work with the headphones when they are plugged back in.
Expected headphones to be detected automatically even if plugged in before boot.

This is on latest Xenial HWE kernel (4.8.0-39-generic x86_64).
ALSA Info attached.

Headphones also stop working after logging out and back in, until they are unplugged and plugged in again.

I also have this issue. Running "alsactl restore" will allow sound to come through the headphones without rebooting, but this is suboptimal. I have attached my alsa-info output.
