Ubuntu 16.04 no sound devices showing

Bug Description

I recently upgraded my laptop from Ubuntu 15.04 to 16.04. After that no sound is working, there is no sound devices listed in sound settings. Please help to fix it.

Thank you for your bug report, unsure what's the issue but this warning in the log is weird

/usr/lib/pulse-8.0/modules/module-bluetooth-policy.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64

what package did you install? it looks like the binary is for the wrong architecture there
