Bug Description

This is a Jetway NC 9I motherboard with Intel NC10 chipset and a RealTek ALC662 sound chip imbedded. It has an Intel Atom D525 processor on it. I have 30 of these boards I was hoping to put Ubuntu on for people that need them.

I have spent over three weeks on this trying to follow the forums on how to solve this problem. I have also gone to Realtek's website and tried to use their instructions to solve the problem. From the dignostic reports that I saw it looks like the sound chip or codec cannot be found and that pulse is somehow working instead?
I went here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SoundTroubleshootingProcedure
  and got this result: http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=f057abda5a101970d2980eae4341684ee857cbeb

I went to realtek's site and downloaded their Linux HD drivers here: http://152.104.125.41/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

I also went here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1026931
I didn't see any results from these either.

When I go into system sound it just says "Play sound through Dummy Output"

I have tested the speakers, they work on other devices. It is plugged into the right output.......

It does not work in Ubuntu 12 or 14.04, 64 bit. It does not work in Lubuntu either. I have not tried 32 bit.

I must be doing something out of order as I don't see anyone else reporting this problem and Jetway says that no one has reported a problem to them?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Raymond, you are awesome. I am so embarrased that I did not think to check the BIOS! I got it from the factory and it was disabled? Why? I have never received a new Motherboard with the sound disabled.

On the bright side, I learned a lot, so that is cool. I don't know how to close this.
