There is a possibility that it may affect more than dual-boot users.

Also, I have found the following patterns:

1. It usually does not work when the system boots.
2. The times it starts working/stops working is when the device goes to sleep mode and comes out.

One place to look is where sound restart happens coming out of sleep mode/starting up.
