Bug Description

I have just installed ubuntu 14.04 to upgrade and old windows xp system.
When I load ubuntu I am unable to get the sound card to work.
I am new to ubuntu.

This release of Ubuntu is no longer receiving maintenance updates. If this is still an issue on a maintained version of Ubuntu please let us know.
