when did the sound stop ?

did it stop when try to play mono sound ?

I don't understand what do you mean by "mono sound"...
  it plays allways styereo sound but only one at each time !?

The files are red from an external USB HD, I supposed that the HD stops
while reading a long song (more than 5 mn), wouldn't it be the reason of
the problem ?
