Bug Description

My M14x R2 comes with three jacks: one solely for a microphone, one for a headset, and one for headphones. The headset jack is detected and will play audio, but is physically damaged. The headphone jack is not detected; that is, when headphones are plugged in, they are not shown in sound settings, and sound continues to play from the speakers. I've followed the ubuntu troubleshooting guide, but found little documentation of this same issue. Thanks for any help.

Please see this thread for more information related to the issue:

Alsa settings have been changed, so the output to wget -O alsa-info.sh http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh && chmod +x ./alsa-info.sh && ./alsa-info.sh may not be entirely relevant.
