Bug Description

I have Installed a new motherboard from Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD4H with Realtek ALC 898 and I have a crackling sound on it in Ubuntu 12.04. I have already tried to install Realtek sound drivers, but then sound disappears at all. I have tried a lot different methods to fix it but almost always I have to reinstall my system for a new after that. My kernel version is 3.8.0-31-generic.

Thank you Raymond, i have found a topic with the same problem where you had helped https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1067434
and installed the hda-jack-retask. So now my sound is very clear.
I cant found where i can try to disable auto mute or
set misc = NO_PRESENCE of pin default of headphone using hda-Jack-retask so i guess it done automatically with installation.
Thank you for supporting, it means a lot!
