Bug Description

I did a system update and my sound stopped working. I went ahead an upgraded to 13.04 thinking this might fix it, but no dice. I think this might have occured while running a program that uses sound, like Spotify.

I would create a new user and see if that one has sound. If it does, try resetting the pulseaudio user configuration (after logging in to your original user/account) with the following command:
rm -r ~/.pulse*; rm -r ~/.config/pulse; pulseaudio -k

@Raymond: I saw that too, but it occurs after a period of time and I thought DMA was the default anyway?
