Bug Description

I used to hear sound, probably from yesterday onwards, I cannot hear audio, I am using Analog stereo speakers.
In the multimedia setting , the preference changed automatically to HD digital. But after reverting it back to Analog and even restarting doesn't restore sound. In my system AMD additional driver is activated.

Is the problem relative to a common use of Ubuntu (listening music, watching a film, etc...) ??
Or when using application needing Jack like Ardour or Hydrogen ??

I have only common use.

It is seen while the common use ie., from boot to shut down and no sound
even while using Juk for music and VLC/smplayer for video.

The test button in the setting windows were also not responding(no sound).
some very feeble continuous humming(irritating) with occasional feeble
exploding sound("Tak" sound feeble) were heard.

If needed I can send you the list of installed MultiMedia softwares ,that I
can see in the list/menu.

Today evening the problem was automatically absent.
