Bug Description

As in summary. The background buzz when using external mic is way too loud. The mic itself is ok, tested on another kubuntu box. Tested on Skype test call.

how did you upgrade to ubuntu quqntql 12.10 ?

it is strange that kernel is still 3.2 and alsa driver is 1.0.24

The 3.5.18 entry wasn't added to grub for some reason. I fixed it and booted the newest kernel, but it didn't fix the issue.

This release of Ubuntu is no longer receiving maintenance updates. If this is still an issue on a maintained version of Ubuntu please let us know.
