This is a recent problem. I have tested many kernels and the problem still. Searching not give a solution, so this is a bug

Now the weird sound is only when the volume at max, but still

change the TLV dB information for the Master volume
 on all Sigmatel HDA codecs to indicate the the minimal volume setting
 actually mutes.
