Bug Description

I just upgraded to Quantal but I had the same issue on precise pandolin. Sound randomly stutters. Sometimes it takes 5 minutes to happen sometimes it will happen twice in a 10 second interval. I have version 1.0.25-3ubuntu3 of alsa. I tried the workarounds outlined in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/PositionReporting hence my modified alsa file.

Hi Raymond,

I'll reproduce the issue later today and let you know whether suspending was required to reproduce it. It has been a while since I raised this so I can' tell you for sure right now.

Cheers,

Carlos

Hi,

Actually I can no longer reproduce this issue. When I started experiencing this I started using another soundcard instead of the motherboard one. I upgraded the box to Quantal and I've been trying to reproduce this since then and I've been unable to, hence this must have been fixed at some point, presumably when I upgraded to Quantal.

Cheers,

Carlos
