Main speaker audio dies after sleep/resume

Bug Description

Audio disappears after second sleep/resume cycle.
(Regression. 3.5 mainline kernel and official kernel do not have this issue)

External DAC and DisplayPort/HDMI outputs work without issues.

do you mean the pin ctls of speaker pin become 0 instead of OUT after suspend and resume?

A) Intel HDA stopped working at all now. With kernels 3.5.0 and 3.6.2. Mainline 3.5.7 works perfectly fine.
B) I did not go digging through what the details of the reports are.(So what does pin ctrls mean is beyond my understanding of the issue)

This release of Ubuntu is no longer receiving maintenance updates. If this is still an issue on a maintained version of Ubuntu please let us know.
