Unfortunately, that message is not uncommon and breaks audio. I personally am unsure how to fix/debug it. Maybe D Henningsson will have an idea on how to proceed.
In the meantime, you should remove the following line from /etc/modprobe. d/alsa- base.conf:
options snd-hda-intel model=generic
