Bug Description

Dear Mr.
Of the three jacks card on this board from ASUS P5VDX the one that does not work is the input line (blue). The Alsa mixer installed, and only works together, the virtual sliders and PCM headphones, others do not ....
I thank you for any help given.

You have the following line in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
options snd-hda-intel model=3stack

Have you tried without this line or with model=laptop instead of 3stack?

Please post the output of alsa-info.sh

There is no point to try the laptop model on a desktop motherboard with three audio jacks at rear panel

Raymond, if I'm reading it right, the sound device with this PCI ID actually uses "laptop" as the default quirk. It seems odd, but I learned long ago that ALSA model names rarely make sense.

SND_PCI_QUIRK(0x1043, 0x818f, "ASUS P5", AD1986A_LAPTOP),

Dear friends;

Solved the problem.
Cold solder problem in motherboad precisely the positive jack blue! The sound is now working as before and the Auxiliary input Alsa-mixer is working for this entry.
Thank you all.
PS: Dear Dave, worked with the original line,
         options snd-hda-intel model = 3stack
