Bug Description

I have used starting "alltray -x -na gkrellm -g -0-0" at gnome start (by gnome session preferences)
for several months every day. But after latest gnome-* packages updates, clicking tray icon of gkrellm
does not show/hide the gkrellm's window anymore (and show/hide alltray menu item does not work either).

When I try do "alltray -x -na gkrellm -g -0-0" from terminal, everything goes right.

Ubuntu Hardy with latest updates.
Packages versions:
gnome-applets 2.22.2-0ubuntu2
gnome-panel 2.22.2-0ubuntu1
alltray 0.69-1ubuntu1
gkrellm 2.3.1-1ubuntu2

sometimes also no tray icon is displayed.
This does not happened in previous gnome-* versions.

seems to be fixed now by gnome-panel 2.22.2-0ubuntu1.1

not fixed... only it reproduces randomly.
Still behaves incorrectly in more than 50% cases.

As a workaround I use custom application launcher "sh -c 'killall gkrellm 2>/dev/null || gkrellm'" from the panel instead of using alltray.

Can you add my PPA and see if the updated version of AllTray there fixes your bug? The information is contained in bug 106583 in the comment located at https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alltray/+bug/106583/comments/24
