Bug Description

When I run "alltray gkrellm" and then click the gkrellm icon in tray,
gkrellm window appears, but mouse cursor always jumps from
almost-right-bottom corner to almost-screen-center.

alltray had probably problems with gkrellm because missing window decorations.
-x switch helps to solve this.

Roman,

I'm not able to reproduce the issue that you're having, with a newer build of AllTray. Could you try the build of Alltray which appears to fix 106583 (in my PPA for the Hardy release, the package version is 0.69-1ubuntu2~ppa1) and let me know if you still experience the issue?

Also, could you give a few more details? Is this a stock Hardy install with or without Desktop Effects enabled?

I see the problem only if the gkrellm window position is near bottom-right corner and window decorations are disabled.
I use Hardy with compiz (effects enabled).

When I tried alltray the version of your PPA I was not able to get the gkrellm window without decorations (althought I set it so),
so (maybe for this reason or maybe because it is fixed already) I do not see the problem with this version.

The reason that window decorations are apparently added in gkrellm's default mode would appear to be because of the workarounds for Compiz that had to be implemented, which changed the way windows are handled by Alltray so that it works better with compiz. However, if the package in the PPA solved your mouse-jumping problem, than the bug was in the way that Alltray handled windows _before_, so that's fixed at least, and that would make this bug a symptom of bug 106583, which means that this issue is a duplicate.

One other thing is that Alltray generally operates with the assumption that there will be window borders. There is some xmms-specific exception to this rule, from what I've seen while working in the sources, but I haven't had the chance to investigate that any further than simply knowing of its existence. If the window decorations are an issue, though, that would be a separate bug.

On a totally unrelated note, I do find it interesting that you'd want gkrellm hidden... I'd prefer to see it docked as a panel, myself, but I guess everyone's got different preferences. :-)
