alacarte crashed with ExpatError in parseFile()

Binary package hint: alacarte

So during the setting up of a main menu options the alacarte crashed causing the Application menu to disappear; I mean the icon is still there but the menu itself doesn't open. At first the crash report manager supposed I have obsolete files (gnome-control-center, libgnome-window-settings1, capplets-data) and haven't given me an option of submitting this bug. But afterwards the manager has given me such an option.
