2016-06-18 16:35:33 Ads20000 bug added bug
2016-11-04 10:07:53 Ads20000 description To reproduce, open Alacarte and click 'New Item'. Then browse for a file/application which is stored in a directory which contains spaces. If you add that item, backslashes won't be automatically inserted to allow the command to work with the directories which have spaces. E.g. `/home/user/Ubuntu\ Programs/firefox/firefox` is instead written by the program as `/home/user/Ubuntu Programs/firefox/firefox`. As a result, when you've added a name for the launcher, you're not able to add the launcher (the OK button remains greyed out). Of course, the really easy workaround is to just add the backslashes by hand, but it's very frustrating when you think you've added the launcher and you don't spot what's wrong! It should 'just work'. ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.10 Package: alacarte 3.11.91-2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.4.0-25.44-generic 4.4.13 Uname: Linux 4.4.0-25-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.1-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: GNOME-Flashback:Unity Date: Sat Jun 18 17:18:21 2016 InstallationDate: Installed on 2016-04-26 (52 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 16.10 "Yakkety Yak" - Alpha amd64 (20160426) PackageArchitecture: all SourcePackage: alacarte UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) To reproduce, open Alacarte and click 'New Item'.
