Bug Description

Hi
New install of ubuntu 14.04, then as per https://sites.google.com/site/easylinuxtipsproject/alternative convert to xubuntu.
   alacarte 3.10.0-1ubuntu2

Dunno if this is a bug or a feature, but I've just spent 4 hours setting up a customised menu, and I'd love to disable the "Restore System Configuration" button.

I'm worried that when I look at it again 6 months from now, having forgotten, one stray click & I'm ruined.

So - is there some command line switch, or could I find somewhere in the python program to disable?

Or is there a directory I can back up. I've googled lots, and found lots of advice to change directories that don't exist. Seems the menu files could be anywhere.

regards Garry

You can go to usr/share/alacarte/Alacarte/MainWindow.py
Comment out (put #'s in front of):
def on_restore_button_clicked(self, button):
        self.editor.restoreToSystem()
Save and the "Restore System Configuration" button is rendered useless
