Aide does not install correctly - permissions within /etc/aide/aide.conf.d are incorrect.

The execute permissions are missing from the /etc/aide/aide.conf.d scripts thus causing them to be included rather than executed. This causes errors when running aide.

Workaround: After installation set the execute permission on any file which starts with #!

I therefore suggest closing this bug, even though "aide" packaging still seems completly broken to me.
