Bug Description

Binary package hint: aiccu

Hi!

I have just upgraded my Ubuntu to feisty (beta). Rebooted the machine, and everything worked just fine.
Installed the AICCU package, but it seems to hang while configuring. Took a CTRL-C and got the message below.

*snip*
stig@ubuntu:/etc$ sudo apt-get install aiccu
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
aiccu is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
1 not fully installed or removed.
Need to get 0B of archives.
After unpacking 0B of additional disk space will be used.
Setting up aiccu (20070115-1) ...

(Nothing happens after this, pressing Ctrl-C ..)

dpkg: error processing aiccu (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script killed by signal (Interrupt)
Errors were encountered while processing:
 aiccu
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
stig@ubuntu:/etc$
*snap*

Tried to apt-get remove and install again, but the same thing happens.

After that I configured the aiccu.conf, synced my clock and started the aiccu service.
AICCU seems to send heartbeats as it is supposed to, and I get IPv6.

The only problem really is that AICCU-install halts during apt-get install ..

Other information that might be relevant:
My ubuntu dist-upgrade was from edgy to feisty.
I am remotely configuring the ubuntu-box via ssh shell.
In my SixXS account I have TWO tunnels and one subnet.

Greetings,
Stig Bjørge

Would just like to mention that this now happens each time i run apt-get install, because of AICCU not getting installed properly.

Did you get a debconf screen asking you for your login details and which tunnel to activate?

Hi,

This occurs for me as well. I see the debconf screens (intrepid) but it does not exit after you are finished, it stalls and needs to be killed.

Warning: Couldn't find global Tunnel Brokers List, please check your DNS settings and read the FAQ.
Response not accepted: Login failed, login/password mismatch (131).
dpkg: error processing aiccu (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 255
Errors were encountered while processing:
 aiccu
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

the debconf showed up before the Response not accpted error, took a while ( 2-3mins ) for it to timeout the tunnel brokers list.

Should this really exit with status 255? You can configure it afterwards.

and if I run
host -t TXT _aiccu.sixxs.net
I don't get any answer.
host -t TXT _aiccu.sixxs.net 208.67.220.220
I get answer. The answer should be the brokers list.
See http://www.sixxs.net/faq/aiccu/?faq=dnsbroken
So, I change the DNS to 208.67.220.220 ( opendns ) and install aiccu again. It's installed!

(Sending an email to my ISP too telling them their DNS is broken! (Comhem) )
