Yes, it is reproducible. All i do is go to any video link like Youtube
or other such links and the display will stop just a little way into the
video
(a few seconds) and no sound.

I have changed the package to adobe-flashplugin as this seems to be a flash issue. Sometimes Firefox profiles can become corrupt and/or extensions can conflict. In the case that it is firefox, could you please try this with a new profile and see if the problem still exists? You do not need to delete your old profile to test. If this helps, you might want to try to disable all your extensions and re-enable them one by one until you find the problematic one. To disable extensions, Tools > Add-ons > Find the extension > Highlight and click 'Disable' > Restart Firefox

You can start the profile manager with the following command:
firefox -ProfileManager

I finally got firefox and flash plugins working by doing the following;

1. I exported my bookmarks.
2. I removed firefox and all its files.
3. I deleted the .mozilla folder.
4. I deleted the flash plugin.
5. I reinstalled firefox and the flash plugin when requested.

Every thing seems to be working ok now
