i haven't done any thing, only installing updates available

Just a note, if you manually edit the /var/lib/dpkg/info/adobe-flashplugin.prerm script and comment out the "set -e" line at the top, then you can sucessfully remove adobe-flashplugin. (Then install the update).

problem is, that the failure of this package holds back a punch of updates (here 70) too ...

When i did what Peter said, it asked me to do a partial upgrade which will upgrade about 13 packages not including adobe-flashplugin

is that what happened with you or what ?
