Bug Description
Ubuntu Version:
Description: Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS
Release: 14.04
Package Version:
adobe-flashplugin:
Installed: 1:20161213.
Candidate: 1:20161213.
Version table:
*** 1:20161213.
500 http://
100 /var/lib/
I expected that the correct version of the flashplugin would be reported in Chromium. The error is in /etc/chromium-
The version of the adobe-flashplugin package corresponds to:
Adobe Flash Player - Version: 24.0.0.186 however this is what is reported by Chromium:
Adobe Flash Player - Version: 11.2.999.999
Shockwave Flash 11.2 r999
Name: Shockwave Flash
Description: Shockwave Flash 11.2 r999
Version: 11.2.999.999
Location: /usr/lib/
It appears that the the line in the debian/rules file that should take care of this did not work properly in the package that I downloaded from the repository....
Here is the line from the rules file: VERSION# /$(shell python -c "import json; print json.load( file('$ (DEB_BUILD_ ARCH)/manifest. json')) ['version' ]")/g' > debian/10-flash
cat debian/10-flash.in | sed -e 's/#PPAPI_
Here is the output when I rebuilt using a clean sbuild environment: VERSION# /24.0.0. 186/g' > debian/10-flash
cat debian/10-flash.in | sed -e 's/#PPAPI_
The file /etc/chromium- browser/ customizations/ 10-flash appears to be correct when I build the package without changes in a pristine sbuild environment created with mirror=http:// us.archive. ubuntu. com/ubuntu --distro=ubuntu --vg data
mk-sbuild trusty --arch=amd64 --name=tester --debootstrap-
It looks as if there is something missing in the build environment that is not specified in the control file used to build adobe-flashplugin 1:20161213. 1-0ubuntu0.
