2008-10-09 13:38:21 Olaf Lenz description Binary package hint: adept I'm using Kubuntu intrepid beta on 64bit, all packages are up-to-date (more details see below). When I start the adept manager, I would expect a complete package list in the search tab, as all "State" and "Requested" flags are turned on. Instead, package list in the search tab is completely empty. Only when I *deselect* "Show packages marked for upgrade", I get a list of packages that seems complete to me. System info: > lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu intrepid (development branch) Release: 8.10 > apt-cache policy adept adept: Installed: 3.0~beta2ubuntu2 Candidate: 3.0~beta2ubuntu2 Version table: *** 3.0~beta2ubuntu2 0 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status Binary package hint: adept I'm using Kubuntu intrepid beta on 64bit, all packages are up-to-date (more details see below). This might be a duplicate of bug #279332, however, due to the "compact" description of that bug, I cannot be sure. 2008-10-12 18:39:18 Jonathan Thomas adept: statusexplanation A browsing mode is something that mornfall was looking at implementing in 3.1. I think the fact that you can semi-browse the packages by fooling with the statuses is an unintended yet handy side effect. ;-)
