adept crashes with "no upgrades available" even though some exist

Binary package hint: update-manager

I upgraded to the Beta version of Gutsy and I've been keeping up with updates and upgrades via apt-get. Tonight, I tried to upgrade to the final release version of Gutsy but I get the specified error.
