contacts in Gmail groups not imported

Bug Description

Any contacts listed under 'My Contacts' are automatically imported after signing into the account. Any contacts in groups will not be imported.

Ubuntu 14.10 (r20) on the BQ E4.5 phone

In fact it seems that the "group" feature is completely missing in the app.

I can't manually create a group.

There is a "favourite" field but no way to add a contact in this sort of group
