Bug Description

Binary package hint: acroread

When I open PDF/A file and click on "Standards" on left panel, acroread (9.4 - latest ubuntu lucid) freezes and then crashes. I think it has somethink to do witk xulrunner. Because if I update acroread or xulrunner acroread tells me, that it cannot found xulrunner (i think, there should be symbolic link xulrunner which should point to latest xulrunner (xulrunner -> xulrunner-1.8.6.2)). When I specify that path, it freezes and crash.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

Hi, a new acroread release (0.9.4) is available for update, could you give it a try and tell us if the problem persists?
If you still have this bug please set back the status to "new"
thanks
