Bug Description
Binary package hint: acroread
acroread is missing for amd64 in the Lucid repos. An i386 version exists in the canonical partner repo, and also multiverse.
There is some problem with Adobe not wanting a 64-bit package to exist, but somehow that problem was resolved for Hardy,
see https:/
The exact resolution wasn't disclosed in postings to that bug, but hopefully the same thing can be done for Lucid.
Please don't say "just use the free alternatives". They do not always work and/or aren't bug-for-bug compatible with PDFs produced by certain sources.

I have gone over this problem as well. Ubuntu Software Center behaves weirdly. It offers me to enable the partner repository to install Adobe Reader, but if I do so it can't be install anyway. I'm using amd64, too.
