--enable-ld-version-script is working in RHEL4 and FC3, but FC4+ it causes total
desktop software failure. Even gdm fails to start and crashes immediately.

We will need Jakub's help on this. There is something about the FC4+ toolchain
or glibc that is causing --enable-ld-version-script built binaries to totally
fail during runtime.
