Bug Description

I installed an update yesterday, and since then the fan on my T420 started spinning at the highest speed all the time.

I see that the two/three last updates included acpid and linux-image-generic.

I noticed this with BIOS 1.34 an upgrade to the latest 1.36 did not help. Setting options thinkpad_acpi fan_control=1 also did not help. See https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/182093
