Hi,

I have Toshiba Satellite L640 and Ubuntu 11.10 installed on it.

But Ubuntu is not recognizing the batteries. It does not hibernate on low batteries. Instead abruptly switches off.

Ubuntu 11.10 not showing the battery status correctly even after recompilation done after editing acpi settings as said in the above link , but the battery indicator is detected and showing the battery status after compilation.but even if the battery is more than 80% it some times show battery power is low.my battery is working correctly and had no problems with the battery.
