Bug Description

Binary package hint: acpi

Ubuntu 11.04

The Acer One 522 (AMD) has problems to recover after sleep/hibernation with the generic (default) driver.
I wakes up but shows a flickering display (there will be an empty window opened and closed continuously).

Sometimes it is working, but most time I see the effect described above.

It will not recover at all with the restricted driver.

I get this exact same bug with Acer 522. I haven't tried yet with the proprietary driver (I don't like using because it breaks Plymouth and I don't really need the performance)

im usuing a ATI driver and the System dosnt recover from hybernation. The screen simply stays black. This is bad since the System does this each time i close the screen of the netbook.
I would be happy if ubuntu would power off instad of going into a hybernate on witch it dosnt wake up again.

acer one 522 - 2 Gig Ram
ubuntu 11.10 (fresh install from CD)
installed ati driver as proposed by the prop drivers (not latest as this does not install correctly)

suspend and hibernate have same problem :
when taking out of suspend or hibernate state, the OS wakes up but the screen remains black. It is possible to remote login (terminal mode)

same problem as with 11.04 :-(
