Bug Description

Binary package hint: acpi

My laptop will not wake from suspend mode. If I try to wake it up, the fans spinup, but the LCD never turns back on, nor any HD activity. If I hold down the power button to turn it off and then back on, it still won't turn back on, I have to pull the battery out of it to even get EFI to post (booted using regular Grub I think)..

Please, this is highly important, and I see other people with this same problem getting ignored. I also seeing this issue dating back to 2006..
