This error affects my MSI GX620 too and seems to be related to some earlier issues with ACPI's EC.

Maybe related to earlier ACPI issues...
EC GPE Storm.

Battery info. sometimes unavailable.

I also have the NVIDIA kernel drivers installed (version 180), not sure if that's relevant.

So who do we believe? Is the BIOS acting buggy on this issue or is the kernel's ACPI code poorly designed and executed? These things should be figured out by now, right?

Hi everybody!
I am using an ASUS X59GLseries laptop with the latest 10.04 lucid. I am experiencing some trouble with the volume up/down and volume mute keys. The problem is that the effect of pressed keys is being felt after a lag of about ~20 seconds, and that's when the volume meter appears on the screen. Any ideas?

Thank you.
