Bug Description

ebourget@pedro:~$ uname -a
Linux pedro 2.6.28-11-generic #36-Ubuntu SMP Fri Mar 20 19:40:40 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux

Battery state, etc are all detected properly; however, jaunty seems unable to detect my netbook's lid open/close state. The 8.10 release did so successfully. This computer is an HP Mini 1030NR.

The lid was closed for a few polls and then reopened here:

ebourget@pedro:~$ while :; do cat /proc/acpi/button/lid/LID/state ; sleep 1; done
state: open
